SPAA 2025 Application Process

I am thrilled to invite organizations committed to the cause of animal rights and veganism to apply for the 2025 cohort of my comprehensive program, Strategic Planning for Animal Activism (SPAA). This robust 12-part course is designed to equip organizations with the strategic knowledge, tools, and frameworks necessary to achieve meaningful social change for animals.

About the Program

SPAA 2025 is an intensive, immersive experience tailored for advocates who are serious about taking their activism to the next level. The program includes:

• Twelve 90-minute lectures: Held every three weeks, beginning April 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM EST.
• Office hours between sessions: These are where the deepest learning occurs.
  • The first office hours of each cycle are led by Kyle Behrend, who will provide hands-on support with the suite of AI tools designed specifically for this program. These tools, developed by Kyle at NFPs.AI, are aligned with the course content and assignments to enhance your learning and effectiveness.
  • The second office hours are hosted by me, Krista, offering a space for rich discussion and reflection on the week’s content and its application to your organization.
  • Office hours are not recorded, ensuring a safe, open environment for candid dialogue, troubleshooting, and collaborative learning.
• Forty strategic assignments: These assignments guide you step-by-step in developing a strategic plan tailored to your organization’s mission, vision, and goals. By the program’s conclusion, participants who complete the assignments will have created a comprehensive strategic plan.
• Peer collaboration: A dedicated Slack channel connects all participants, fostering collaboration, shared insights, and mutual support as you work through the program and assignments.
• Exclusive funding opportunity: Participants who successfully complete their strategic plans will have the chance to pitch active farmed animal funders. This unique opportunity allows you to present your ideas to funders, request financial support, and take your vision from plan to implementation.
